With Father’s day coming up this weekend I thought I’d post a video for the guys out there. I get a lot of men bashfully asking me about Pilates, and wondering if it will help their back, their injured shoulder, or get rid of that beer gut. The thing is Pilates is not just for women! I think at some point in the 80’s fanatical women overran Pilates classes, because the secret got out that it shapes and tones your body like crazy. The fact is that Joseph Pilates (the founder of Pilates) is a MAN! A while back I did a video for men called the Ultimate Arm Workout, it’s perfect for dudes who want to start Pilates training.
But for this Workout Wednesday I wanted to give props to all the Dad’s out there that are working hard, chasing the kids around the living room, carrying them on their shoulders on the walk to the park, and just being great men! Here’s one of my favorite videos from a local Toronto Dad Fit And Busy Dad, he’s got 5 kids and still finds time to stay fit and active!
