I know I haven’t posted too much lately, that’s because for the first time in years I caught a cold! I literally spent the weekend bundled up inside, looking like a Nyquil ad. This cold really knocked me on my butt!
My workouts were few and far between, I felt weak, and tired up until yesterday. No matter how hard I tried to push through it, my body was just telling me to take a break! I’m a big advocate for rest when it’s needed, but I also think it’s important to keep things moving, and ease yourself back into a workout routine after being sick. So even though my mind is saying to jump right back into the swing of things, my body is telling me to be gentle and stretch out stiffened muscles. So today that’s exactly what I did, 20mins of yoga and stretching and I felt great. Tomorrow I’ll add in a light resistance Pilates session, and in no time I’m sure I’ll be back to full health, and strength!
