Admittedly I’ve been having a hard time getting back into the swing of things after returning from the trip of a lifetime in Australia this week. I consider myself a very motivated person. I love me job, I love teaching, making videos, and writing this blog! But after being away for three weeks, with little to no internet connection, and just being out and about adventuring in the world, I’ve had a really hard time connecting back to the real world. I always stress that life is about balance, so I’m not beating myself up for having reduced my workouts, and work load these past few weeks. In fact I was able to come to a really great realization that I would like to share with all of you.
I remembered why I do Pilates and believe in it so much! Here’s why…
1. Pilates was the one thing that really changed my body. Like really. When I do Pilates regularly I really start to love my shape, my curves and the tone of my body. It’s such a great feeling to truly love your body!
2. Having a regular Pilates practice changes the way I carry myself. I feel more confident! I stand taller, and feel stronger and more stable all around.
3. I feel like I can express myself. I’m a creative person by nature, Pilates helps me to feel creative through my movements and really helps me to get my energy out. I feel more in touch with my body and my overall mood changes for the better.
The bottom line is that when I look at it all of these things really help to improve my overall quality of life! This whole experience of stepping back has allowed me to reconnect with why I love Pilates so much. I feel more inspired than ever now, and will be able to deliver an even better level of service to you guys. So I thank those of you that stuck with me, anxiously awaiting new videos, exercises, and posts. I can’t wait to get back into it!
