Just when you thought you were getting off easy, riding your bike, and opting to drink your coffee outside this January…it snows. Personally, I think it’s nice when it snows in the city, it forces everyone to move in slow motion, or even stops us in our tracks.
It’s good to slow down, pause from our fast pace lives, and give our mind and body a rest. Who cares if you drink that extra glass of wine, don’t beat yourself up if you sleep through spin class. Just pause and take a breath! Even if you come to a dead stop, remember you’re still on that same track and can move forward again whenever you so choose. So many times I hear people say, “I completely fell off the wagon.” To which I respond, “well what’s stopping you from hopping back on?” If you have a bad few days, or even weeks where you’re not working out, eating right, or being proactive, whatever…stop, breathe, and then keep on moving.
