For those of us in most parts of Canada this past weekend was Victoria Day long weekend, or commonly known as May 2-4. This year I was so graciously invited to my good friend Christie’s cottage in Grand Bend, Ontario. Although May 2-4 is traditionally known for pounding back more than a few adult beverages, I felt like this weekend was more of a health and wellness retreat than anything else. I guess that’s what happens when you get two health nuts under one roof! I’m coming into this week feeling rested and motivated for my workouts, and to teach classes!
We went running in the mornings on the beach along Lake Huron…pretty beautiful.
Caught up on the mats in the afternoon for a yoga session
And took a memorable trip to the market, where we mingled with the locals, and where Christie found one of the biggest sweet potatoes we’d ever seen! She later made her delicious sweet potato frites, so good!
Christie and I are both firm believers in moderation however, so there was definitely some wine to be had, and a quick walk to the city to grab some home made ice cream. Yum! And if you still haven’t had enough of Christie and I, the dynamic duo of fitness we made a new workout video! We had to film it 4 times, my arms and abs were on fire by the end of it all, but it was worth it for this…The Ultimate Abs and Arms video!
