A while back I posted about transitioning to all natural beauty products. Since then, I can proudly say that around 85% of my makeup bag is filled with all natural products. It’s been a long transition, and I’ve definitely had to make some sacrifices along the way. One of the last things to go was my favorite mascara that I’ve used for years! If I was going to make the switch I wanted to insure that this new product would satisfy all the needs that my old Dior Backstage mascara did, meaning a volumizing, lengthening and dramatic mascara. Tough shoes to fill!
Finally I came across Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes. This mascara claims to be 100% natural, using rice bran wax and vitamin B5 to help lengthen lashes, and helps to hold a more dramatic curl. I’ve been using this mascara for a week now, and so far it lives up to all it’s claims. This mascara definitely makes my lashes look longer, and the applicator really helps to curl the lashes. I do find this product to be a little flaky in comparison to my beloved Dior, but I’m willing to live with it in exchange for the comfort in knowing that Tarte’s version does not contain harsh chemicals.
