I don’t know about you, but sometimes my diet can slip through my fingers it seems. One week I’m clean and healthy, preparing food fresh from my quaint kitchen. The next week life has other plans, and without intending to I’m eating out 3 nights that week. It happens. I would say I make good choices most of the time, and am more conscientious than the average person about what I’m putting into my body. Despite that, there are times I “fall off the wagon.” For this exact reason, lately I have kept a bag of sea veggies close by at all times. That sounded less nerdy in my head…but it’s true! Sea veggies like kelp, nori, and dulse are some of the best “quick fixes” when it comes to your health. Properties in sea veggies are proven to help with weight loss, control cellulite, detoxify, and promote beautiful hair and skin, not to mention they are full of vitamins and minerals. Personally I have seen a huge difference in the appearance of my skin since I’ve added sea veggies to my diet, I’ve experienced less breakouts, and better overall complexion. Here is one of my new favorite products that helped introduce more sea veggies into my diet.
If you’re brave, and want to jump right in, you can usually find kelp powder at your local health food store. I add it to my smoothies in the morning a couple times a week, but I’ll warn you, it smells a little like fish food!
