If you follow me on facebook or twitter you’ve probably already heard me rant and rave about MICHI Activewear. MICHI is an edgy, fashion-forward, utilitarian active lifestyle brand. The brand was developed from the desire to fill the gap between provocative, glamorous lingerie and comfortable, utilitarian athletic wear. For a full time instructor like me, this is a must! I had the pleasure of meeting the lady behind these brilliant clothes, Michelle Watson, the other night at a local sample sale. Michelle is a Toronto native who has spent the last few years in New York designing for some of fashion’s most reputable brands such as, Donna Karan, Kate Spade and most recently, the luxury high performance athletic line, RLX Ralph Lauren.
All that and she has to be one of the most down to earth, sweetest women of all time! Check out MICHI’s new Spring Lookbook and if you like what you see you can shop right there online! Or if you’re in the Toronto area you can head on over to The Future Frances Watson in Parkdale and cop that shit!
I couldn’t resist when I saw these leggings. I literally wore them with a blazer to go to a business meeting, then taught a class in them, then strapped on heels and a sheer top and went for drinks with friends on Friday! So perfect!
I also bought two sports bras that I can’t wait to wear, I really love this blue and black sweet heart neck sports bra with mesh. It’s just a little cheeky, but still appropriate for training clients.
MICHI was founded in New York in 2010; the design and manufacturing centre is now based here in Toronto, where she has already had major success. Look out for more MICHI to come!
