As the days cool off, some extra inspiration is sometimes needed to drink those recommended 8 glasses of water per day. For a refreshing change from water, I’ve been reaching for a glass of this delicious limeade lately. It not only helps to hydrate, but ingredients like apple cider vinegar, lime and mint will aid with the bodies digestion, and overall detoxification. Try this recipe before it’s onto hot apple cider, and hot cocoa! Eek.
- 6 limes
- 2-3 tbs apple cider vinegar (depending on how sour you like it)
- 3 sprigs of fresh mint, stems removed
- 2-3 drops stevia or sweetener of choice
- filtered water
Step 1: Squeeze 5 of the limes into large pitcher or jug, saving the remaining lime to cut up for garnish. Place all other ingredients into pitcher and add filtered water to fill the rest of the way.
Step 2: Cool in refrigerator for a few hours, and enjoy! Your limeade will last several days in the fridge.
