If you’re wondering where I’ve been over the past few weeks, and why I’ve been too busy to update my blog as of late, here it is! I took about a million pictures of my Australian adventure, but here are some of my favorites…
We started our trip on Australia’s west coast in Perth. I lived in Perth for two years when I was younger so it was really nostalgic to travel back there again.

My brother and his wife live in Perth and just had their first baby in August. This is me and my nephew James hanging out on a hot day. Isn’t he the cutest!
While in western Australia we decided to take a few relaxing days in wine country, Margret River. We packed a few healthy snacks, and of course some wine, then hit the road.

Wine isn’t the only thing that goes on in Margret River…

Cranberry Pistachio with fresh and natural almond nougat. Yes Please!
Olio Bello Olive Farm
This olive farm was certified organic and used the most creative, fresh ingredients to infuse their olive oils. My favorite was vanilla!
Cape Lavender Farm. It smelled like heaven in that shed!
After a day of wine tasting, a delicious gluten-free pizza at Hayshed Hills winery, and some dark chocolate, it was off to one of western Australia’s most beautiful beaches.

After soaking up the sun on the west coast it was off to Melbourne. The city of alleyways, street art, trams, and infinite culture.
We were lucky enough to stay at a friend’s house in a great location in Melbourne. It was so nice to have our own space and a home base while traveling. I was happy to have a relaxing night in eating veggie bowls, drinking wine, and playing scrabble, and finishing the last of the dark chocolate from Margret River.
Melbourne is such an amazing city I didn’t want to leave. It was recently voted most livable city in the world, and I can totally see why. The city was so easy to get around, the people were lovely, the restaurants impeccable, and the nightlife was buzzing with live music, great dj’s, and cool venues. It was hard to top Melbourne, but we had to move on to Sydney where our return flight left from.

My man and me. We were so happy basking in the sunshine and exploring the iconic Sydney opera house together.
I really had the trip of a lifetime, but as I said in my last post I’m ready to get back to work and motivated to return to my routine now. So as it is Monday after all, I think it’s appropriate that I share with you one of my favorite products that I discovered while on my trip down unda!
Lucas Papaw Ointment is all natural made from the fruit of the Australian papaw tree. I swear every woman in Australia carries one of these babies in their purse! Papaw is good for anything, get a mosquito bite? Put some papaw on it. Sunburn or minor burn? Papaw. Chafing? Papaw. It’s most commonly used as a lip balm, clearing up dry lips better than any other product I’ve ever used! Unfortunately you can only get this product in Aus. I brought about 6 back and they’re already dwindling as I introduce it to my girlfriends. This stuff is like crack to lip balm lovers, and definitely my favorite thing this week!
