Things have only just begun here on the blog, but I thought I should start off by giving a little background information on little old me.
Brittany Coughlan is the person behind Fine Tune Pilates. Brittany is a certified Pilates instructor who took an interest in fitness and wellness while studying Music and Psychology at University. It was through her interest in anatomy for the fine arts, and physiology of the voice that she realized that self-awareness and physical fitness were crucial to keeping the voice and body healthy. Brittany practices and teaches Pilates as both a stress management tool, and for keeping the mind and body strong.
Brittany brings her experience as a personal trainer and combines it with classical Pilates mat work to create challenging and unique classes. Brittany has been studying and practicing Pilates herself for over six years, and believes that it is one of the most accessible forms of fitness. “Even for someone who is new to fitness, Pilates is easy to incorporate into many different lifestyles and I believe it is one of the most efficient forms of exercise around.” Brittany is passionate about the entire experience of Pilates from sharpening one’s mind body awareness, the stability and strength it brings to movement, and the incredible physical results.
