The beautiful thing about writing a blog is being able to look back and reflect on what I’ve done over the past year. For 2013 I posted a few resolutions that I wanted to work on throughout the year, and I’m happy to say I’ve made a succeeded at most of them! It’s a good feeling. It was a good year, and there were a lot of fun projects, good meals, and of course Pilates! Here’s a quick look at some of my highlights and lessons learned over this past year.
1. This past Spring I took the Cadillac and Wunda Chair training at Body Harmonics, it reminded me that there’s always more to learn. Taking this training revived my love of movement, and my thirst for knowledge. It changed how I teach my clients, and my own personal practice. I look forward to taking more training in 2014.
2. I’ve never considered myself a runner, but this Fall I ran in my very first track event! It felt gruelling at the time, but it felt good to have one formal event under my belt. Hopefully it will motivated me to do more run events in the future.
3. In October I learned first hand how alcohol affects our health. I cut out booze for one month to see how it would make a difference in my life. Needles to say I will be practicing moderation in 2014!
4. In November I teamed up with Lululemon to present Pilates for Men. It was such a great experience to be able to introduce guys to Pilates, and to be able to cater a class to their specific needs.
I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store. Have a safe and happy new year!
